Bake-Off
By Sheri Wilner [PG]
An uproarious comedy set on the cooking floor of the Pillsbury Bake-Off, Bake-Off mixes all the right ingredients for a laugh-out loud satire on gender roles.
Brilliant Traces
By Cindy Lou Johnson [PG]
Directed by Len Matheo.
The Players' Entry to the 2007 Colorado Theater Festival.
As an Alaskan snowstorm rages outside, there is a desperate knocking on Henry Harry's cabin door. In bursts a beautiful woman, dressed in nothing but her sweat-stained bridal gown. Thus begins a beautifully crafted one-act play about a man and a woman who find each other- and themselves- in nowhere, Alaska. This intense romantic comedy explores the joy and the scars of love in this passionate journey set within the symbolic refuge of a lonely cabin.

Meet Ed Maloney, middle-aged, single and shy. He's a Catholic usher and, on this particular Sunday, he is confronted by Catherine Barber, a 50-something widow with more than the second collection on her mind. In fact, she has determined that today is the day she will unravel the mystery behind the usher's steadfast bachelorhood, and this determination drives the play to its warm and honest conclusion.

Love to Scott and Joe!
Claude J. Diene Ed
Claude is pleased to make his Colorado debut in beautiful, snowy Evergreen. A recent transplant from Pennsylvania, Claude is a 30 year theater veteran, with additional credits in radio and television. Favorite past shows include: Camelot, Assassins, Drawer Boy, Sweet Charity, Pippin, Inherit the Wind and Lend Me a Tenor. Look for Claude in this spring's production of 1776 at the Town Hall Arts Center.
Linda Williams Director
Linda is delighted to be directing this charming romantic comedy. A former East-Coaster, she had the honor of working with the playwright, Jack Neary, when she was a lowly apprentice at a summer stock theatre 100 years ago. Linda found "home" when she came to Evergreen for Christmas three years ago -- and never left. She has appeared with the Players in Independence, Marvin's Room, The Last Night of Ballyhoo, and The Miracle Worker. Linda can't say thank you enough to the Players Board and Staff for all their support! And to Jack, my mentor, my inspiration... thank you for making this show possible.
