The Cripple of Inishmaan

Martin Mc Donagh [PG-13]

Directed by David Blumenstock .

A Hollywood documentary film crew arrives in a small island community off the western coast of Ireland circa 1934. In a world where boredom takes on an existential quality, this bitingly funny dark comedy follows the struggle of an outcast who gets his chance to vie for a part in the film.

A Christmas Carol (2010)

Adapted from the story by Charles Dickens [G]

This classic Dickens tale is a must for the holidays and always a family favorite. Join Ebeneezer Scrooge, the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future, and of course, Tiny Tim, in celebrating the season.

Paul Sills' Story Theatre

Paul Sills [PG-13]

Directed by Meridith Crosley.

Transformation, mime, and dance are the basis of the "Story Theatre" method. Story Theatre improvises plays from stories, myths, folk tales, and legends, each told with a lean production style. All the trappings are created by the actors with their bodies and voices. The no-frills storytelling creates some evocative effects.

My Comic Valentine

[PG-13]

Valentine's Day takes on a fun twist with a double bill of outrageous comedy: A special performance by Evergreen Players Improv Comedy (EPiC), plus a one-hour version of our popular, award-winning production of Parallel Lives, starring two members of EPiC, Gail Montgomery and Lisa DeCaro.

The Women of Lockerbie

Deborah Brevoort [PG-13]

This award-winning play based loosely on a true story describes a mother's search for her son's remains that were lost in the terrorist bombing of Pan Am 103. Roaming the hills of Lockerbie Scotland, she meets the women of Lockerbie, who are determined to convert an act of hatred into an act of love.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

music and lyrics by William Finn and book by Rachel Sheinkin [PG-13]

This one act musical comedy centers around a fictional spelling bee set in a geographically ambiguous Putnam Valley Middle School. Six quirky adolescents compete in the Bee, run by three equally quirky grown-ups.

Brighton Beach Memoirs

Neil Simon [PG-13]

In a performance that celebrates the power of family through thick and thin, a Jewish family in New York in the 1930s experiences ups and downs as they encounter everything from financial concerns to the mounting uncertainty surrounding their family members overseas.
